Bremen HS Students - Someone You Should Know
The May Edition of Someone You Should Know recognizes Mary Ann Jackson and LoKeila Stewart
Each month Bremen High School honors several students as “Someone You Should Know,” students who are recognized for doing great things at Bremen High School or in the community. “This is a great opportunity for our teachers and staff to showcase students and thank them for making a positive difference within our school and community. In addition, it allows us to maintain the focus that we are student centered at Bremen High School,” said Principal Dr. Dave Kibelkis.
One of the May Someone You Should Know students came from Bremen Family and Consumer Science Department Teachers Ms. Rachel Brinkman and Ms. Melissa Matlon; LoKeila Stewart! Both teachers have had her in various classes over her four years at Bremen High School. “We have seen LoKeila mature and change into a very responsible, polite, well-behaved young lady in both the classroom and as a member of POMS team,” said Ms. Brinkman. LoKeila had some advice for incoming freshman, “Be brave and stay on the right track!”
The next Someone You Should Know student was nominated by English Teacher Ms. Ava Evbuoma; Sophomore Mary Ann Jackson. Ms. Evbuoma had Mary Ann last year as a freshmen in Freshmen Learning Center; as a freshmen Mary Ann was not very focused. However, this year Mary Ann made the honor roll and has become a success story! “Mary Ann remains happy and positive through it all!” stated Ms. Evbuoma. Mary Ann utilizes her cell phone in a positive way, to show Ms. Evbuoma her grades whenever she gets the chance!
