Bremen HS Volleyball Team Cheers on Northwestern University

Recently, Bremen High School’s Varsity Volleyball team enjoyed their bye week by taking a trip to Evanston to cheer on Chicago’s Big Ten team, the Northwestern Wildcats, as they took on the Wisconsin Badgers.

“Our ladies were mesmerized at the dedication that was shown by each player on and off the court. It was an amazing experience for them, and I’m glad I was able to be a part of it,” said Bremen High School Varsity Coach Jessica Rucinski.

The trip was about more than just volleyball. This experience gave the players a glimpse of a Big Ten campus and what is needed to compete at the next level. “This opportunity allowed our young ladies to be part of a Big Ten athletic event and to feel, firsthand, the excitement that comes with it. They got to see how much hard work and determination is required at the next level and hopefully strive to one day fulfill a dream,” said Assistant Varsity Coach Matt Meany.
