Bremen HS's 17th Annual A.P. Art Show

'Drawn to Art' featured nine senior artists

Bremen High School hosted the 17th Annual A.P. Art Show, organized by teacher Ms. Jennifer Reid, which showcased her Advanced Placement Studio Art students. Ms. Reid started the AP Art Show back in 1999 and has assisted her AP students in planning the event ever since. This year’s show was titled “Drawn to Art” and featured nine seniors. The first A.P. Art show was in 1999 and was started to celebrate the seniors’ achievements; the tradition has continued ever since. One of the unique elements of this show is that the students plan the entire event start to finish. “I wanted them to feel what it was like to have a real group show experience with a reception and gallery comment book. The students planned the event, named it, publicized it, installed and took down the work. It’s so nice to see it all come together and to see them working as a team,” said Reid. “During the show, I take a moment to call up each student and recognize their accomplishments amongst their families and friends. It truly is a special night.”
