Bremen HS's 'Courtyard Cow' Has Been Restored!

Senior students created the new design

Bremen High School students had a bright welcoming surprise when they came back to school this year; the courtyard cow had been restored! The Class of 2016 asked the art department to work with their class officers to come up with a new idea for the Bremen cow which is housed in the courtyard of Bremen. In 2000 the cow was donated by Matteson Auto Mall along with a monetary donation to buy supplies to decorate the cow. The class of 2016 noticed the cow was showing signs of weathering and old age. Student artists Maggie Janisse, Zoe Janisse, Karen Vargas and Daejah Sally were the senior students who painted and created the new design. This project was under the direction of Ms. Kathleen McNeely (Senior Class Sponsor) and Mrs. Jenny Reid (Art Department).
