Bremen High School’s Fine Arts Department is proud to announce that Senior Gabi Grutzius has won the Grand Prize for the 1st Congressional Artistic Discovery Contest out of Congressman Rush’s Office. She won with her scratch-board piece titled “Luna.” Grutzius will have her art on display at the United States Capital in Washington D.C. for one year. She and a guest will receive airline tickets to attend a reception with the Congressman and be able to view her art piece on display. Grutzius is Bremen High School’s third Grand Prize winner in the school’s history. Past winners include Demi Edwards (2010), and Lorena Villanueva (2014). “I could not be more thrilled for her!” exclaimed AP Studio Art Teacher Mrs. Jenny Reid, “It is a beautiful piece that she worked very hard to complete for this contest, she deserves this recognition!”
