Bremen HS's November Students of the Month

Each month Bremen High School honors several students as student of the month. These students are recognized for doing great things at Bremen High School and/or in the community. The BHS students of the month for November are: Freshmen Azhanae Kirkwood, Sophomore Jose Cruz, Junior Jamuary Gaines, and Senior Edward Noakes.

Freshmen Azhanae Kirkwood was nominated by Mrs. Chelepis. “Azhanae exemplifies the qualities of a person that goes above and beyond to find success for herself and others. She is a willing volunteer in the classroom, never hesitating to assist peers,” said Mrs. Chelepis. “Azhanae demonstrates diligence, patience, and compassion – qualities that exemplify Bremen Pride.”

The Sophomore Student of the Month, Jose Cruz, was nominated by Mr. Meany. Jose is recognized as an “astute young man with an eye toward a successful future,” said Meany. “He puts forth his very best effort in each of his classes and humbles himself before others. Teachers recognize his kind demeanor and high character. Jose is a great example of a student growing into a fine young man with Bremen Pride.”

Our Junior Student of the Month, Jamuary Gaines, was nominated by Mrs. Flood and Mrs. Rucinski. “Jamuary is an outstanding individual who dares to get out of his comfort zone to try and learn new skills. He goes above and beyond to make sure the classroom environment runs smoothly and effectively for the sake all his teachers and peers. Jamuary is currently fundraising to help afford a mission trip through his church and was a featured assistant chef during a Kendall College Open House in front of over 100 prospective students. Jamuary is a Brave that we are excited to watch grow over the next few years. He has great work ethic and is not afraid to challenge himself.”

Senior Student of the Month, Edward Noakes, was nominated by Mrs. Ignelzi. “Edward was nominated for his attendance record and academic performance as well as his impressive personal character. He carries himself with a great sense of humor and is thankful for his family in all his evolving accomplishments. His growth into a notable citizen exemplifies the pride of Bremen High School.”
