Bremen's TEP Program Celebrates First Semester Student-Employees
Transitional Employment Program celebrates the hard work and accomplishments of its students
First semester has come to an end for students in Bremen High School District 228. The students in Ms. Meredith Madden’s Transitional Employment Program (TEP) have been celebrating their hard work and accomplishments throughout the semester and are looking forward to an action packed second semester.
“I really enjoy rewarding students when they’ve done a nice job. The students have taken to the program and look forward to the new award recipient to be announced each month,” said TEP teacher Ms. Meredith Madden.
The TEP Student-Employee of the Month award recognizes those individuals who demonstrate independence, responsibility, a positive attitude, and dedication to self-improvement both during instructional lessons and on-site job training. On a monthly basis, staff selects one candidate from each of TEP’s three sections who exhibits strong leadership skills and acts as both a model student and an ideal worker. On the final Friday of the month, acknowledged students are presented with a certificate and an award. Their photo is then displayed on TEP’s Student-Employee of the Month board, providing other students with inspiration and a positive example of how to conduct oneself at TEP.
