Capable Kids and Capable Families - Parent Group

A Discussion Group for Parents of Children with Special Needs at Southwest Cook County Cooperative for Special Education: Childcare provided

Did you know? Southwest Cook County Cooperative for Special Education (SWCCCASE) offers regular research-based workshops for family and community members. Our Learning Links division is a cornerstone of our organization. We pride ourselves in providing training throughout the school year on topics relevant to learners with exceptionalities.

Join us for our Capable Kids, Capable Families parent group

This program uses visual material from Dr Michael Popkin’s Active Parenting Series as a springboard for discussion. Participants may benefit from attending one or all sessions. The material will be adapted to meet the ages of the children whose parents/guardian attend. Childcare is available and free with registration.

Classes are from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at SWCCCASE’s Learning Links classroom at 6020 W. 151st Street in Oak Forest, Illinois. Led by Priscilla Boyd, LCSW. Register online at www.swcccase.org/professionaldevelopmentpage.htm.

Learning Link classes are FREE to parents of SWCCCASE students and residents of our member districts. Our member districts include 113a Lemont, 117 North Palos, 118 Palos, 142 Forest Ridge, 145 Arbor Park, 146 Tinley Park, 159 Matteson, 160 Country Club Hills, 210 Lemont High School, 228 Bremen, and 230 Consolidated High School.
