Catch the Fall Colors at an Oak Forest Preserve

Get out and take in the first showings of fall in Oak Forest.

It might be October, but the weather feels like August. With temperatures expected to hover around 70 degrees the rest of the week, take advantage and enjoy one of the many forest preserves in Oak Forest.

Leaves are slowly beginning to tinge gold and orange, setting the stage for a peaceful evening walk through Yankee Woods, or a bike ride through Midlothian Reservoir. Nature's artistry is right around the corner—and costs nothing to enjoy.

Walking or cycling not your speed? Try out a trail ride from nearby Forest View Farms. A standard, one-hour trail ride runs $25 per person. Check Forest View Farm's website for more rates and details.
