Founded in 2011, Chicago Radiance’s mission is to provide local skaters the opportunity for participation and achievement in the sport of synchronized skating, while building character as athletes and individuals. Chicago Radiance features skaters from Chicago, the south and southwest suburbs, as well as northwest Indiana. Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 8 - 20 skaters perform a program together. The routines are characterized by teamwork, speed, intricate formations and challenging step sequences. To perfect their skills, individual skaters also supplement skating with yoga, core workout, personal coaches, dance, and power skating classes.
