Chris Medina Sings Norway Attack Victim to Final Resting Place
Medina flew to Bergen, Norway to sing at the Aug. 10 funeral of an 18-year-old woman killed during the July 22 attacks in Norway.

The 18-year-old headed to the island of UtΓΈya in Norway, where she was meeting with other enthusiasts of the Workers' Youth League, the youth division of the ruling Norwegian Labour Party (AP). She and 68 others lost their lives July 22 when a man disguised as a police man opened fire.
Medina, whose single has sold 40,000 copies in Norway and who has rocketed to superstardom in much of Scandinavia, reached out to his Norwegian fans via his Facebook fanpage:

I'm worried about my people in Norway. ... It's always sad to hear things like this, my heart is filled with worry for the people who were hurt and the people who are in fear.
Didriksen's family contacted the singer, requesting his presence and performance at their daughter's Aug. 10 funeral. Medina accepted the invitation and performed his single in front of mourners.Β

Didriksen was to begin in third grade at the Bergen Cathedral School in the fall, and was active in the swimming community and life-saving club in their home municipality, according to an article on Norwegian news source VG Nett. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg attended the funeral, as well as those of several other victims'. Medina thanked his Norwegian fans.
