Churchill Orchards Donates Apples to Bremen High School

Interact Club is selling apples to students and donating funds to local charity

Back by popular demand, Michigan’s Churchill Orchard donated fresh apples to Bremen High School students! Spanish Teacher Mrs. Gina Arguelles met Mike Churchill last year at the Tinley Park Farmers Market. Arguelles spoke with Churchill about providing healthy snacks for her students. Churchill, owner of the family operated orchard in Coloma, Michigan, generously offered to donate and deliver fresh picked apples to Bremen High School. Mrs. Arguelles, along with the Interact Club, is selling the apples for 25 cents each and donating the money raised to a local charity. After receiving a bushel of apples on Saturday and opening sales on Monday, the apples were sold out by Tuesday morning! “Students have been thanking me for the apples all day,” said Arguelles, “given the option to buy healthy treats or chips and candy, most students will choose the healthy snack. I am so thankful for Mr. Churchill and his generous donations!” For more information contact Mrs. Gina Arguelles at garguelles@BHSD228.com or Churchill Orchards at churchillorchards@gmail.com or visit their Facebook page.
