Post Your Photos of Clean Up Week in Oak Forest
Now is a great time to spruce up Oak Forest. Residents are encouraged to toss out their household junk.
This is Clean Up Week in Oak Forest and you have tons of opportunities to make our city sparkle.
All unwanted household items can be diposed of by placing them with your trash on your normal garbage pick-up day.
The exception is for electronic device. On Jan. 1, it become illegal for anyone to toss out electronics with the trash.

Instead, Oak Forest's Green Steps Commission encourages people to take old electronics to the Bremen Township building, 15350 S. Oak Park Ave., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the week or from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 28.
Also this week, crews will be out chipping any branches you leave out before 7 a.m. on your pick-up day, too. This is only available for residents who have NuWay Disposal as their service.

Branches need to be less than 4 inches around and 4 feet long. Stacks should not be taller than 3 feet. Thicker branches should be cut into shorter sections.
