Cool Off for Cheaper at Gingerwood Pool

Membership rates discounted, half-way through pool season.

The temperature might have skyrocketed last week, but membership fees at did not follow.

Half-way through the season at Gingerwood, prices have dropped to half of regular registration rates.

Membership rates are now $50 for a single person, and $80 for a family of 5, said pool president Gail Werr.

"Adult, teens, and small children are enjoying the refreshing pool water. People are getting there at noon when it opens and staying until we close at 8 p.m.," Werr said. "They are grilling and cooling off."

On Sunday, July 31, the pool will host a a Kenootz pizza fundraiser at from 1 to 3:30 p.m.  Jumbo slices of pizza will be sold for $2 each.

Pool Party! Customer Appreciation Scheduled for Aug. 6

On Sunday, Aug. 6, pool crew will host the pool's annual picnic. It will be held from 12–8p.m. The pool will be closed to the public that day. It will be open to pool members and their invited guests.  

"We will have a jumpie, children's games, a clown, bean bag tournament for teens and adults.  We'll be grilling, and swimming," Werr said. "We have had such a great season, it's our way of saying thank you."
