Cop On A Rooftop Planned For August 19 In Oak Forest

Cops will be atop the Dunkin location in Oak Forest on August 19 to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

OAK FOREST, IL β€” Be sure to keep an eye out for Oak Forest police on the rooftop of Dunkin on August. 19. From 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., Oak Forest Police Department officers will be on the rooftop of Dunkin, 5159 W. 159th St., for its annual Cop on a Rooftop fundraising event, which benefits Special Olympics Illinois.

Customers who donate will be given a coupon for a free donut, and donors giving $10 or more will receive a coupon for a free coffee and a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug (while supplies last).

This is the 20th year of this event; the partnership in Illinois has raised more than $6.7 million. In 2021, nearly $870,000 was raised across 283 locations. This year’s goal is to raise more than $900,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.
