D228 Art Students Participate in Chicagoland 4X5 Show
Students from all four District 228 high schools participated in the art show!

Once again, the District 228 Fine and Performing Arts Department is proud to announce the following students participated in The Chicagoland 4 x 5 Show, hosted by Oswego High School. An open reception was held on the evening of Wednesday, November 8th.
The following students had artwork on display:
- Bremen Students Francisco Carbajal Jose Velazquez
- Tinley Park Students Audrey Novak, Carly Skanberg, Aubrey Cassady, Monyrah Tabelin, Rilee Tyrakowski, Samantha Arellano, Grace Adams, Diana Rosario, Amelia McDonnell, Nicholas Dooley, Carla Iversen, Paul Schmeltzer, Jayna Engelsman, and David Meza
- Hillcrest Students Kaliyah Short, Jakemah Calhoun, Symone Herrera, Saniya Sullivan, Nimyia Young, Johnathan Lloyd, and Seneca Hurd.
- Oak Forest Students Ryann Reeves, Princess Sofiyea, Ariana Agler, Clyde Bellon, Abbey Hernandez, Abigail Visser, Jade Taylor, Andrea Huizar, Emily Ramirez, and Helena Goo.
Clyde Bellon, Andrea Huizar, Aubrey Cassady and Jayna Engelsman received honorable mentions.
“ Students who participated in this art exhibit created very small work that was able to fit into a 4 x 5 inch format. Their advanced skills and techniques are commended as they were able to successfully create a big visual impact on such a small scale,” said Jennifer Reid, Fine and Performing Arts Department Supervisor.

About Bremen High School District 228
Bremen High School District 228 is located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and serves the communities of Midlothian, Posen, Tinley Park, Markham, Hazel Crest, Country Club Hills and Oak Forest. District 228 serves over 5,000 students and employs 800 full and part-time staff members. Bremen High School, in Midlothian, opened its doors to students in September of 1953. Since then, District 228 opened three additional schools. Tinley Park High School opened in 1961; Hillcrest High School, in Country Club Hills, opened in 1967; and Oak Forest High School opened in 1970.
