D228 Girls' Water Polo Team Captures Championship at Palatine Tournament
The Red Jaguars are ranked 17th in the State

Congratulations to the Bremen High School District 228 Girls’ Water Polo Team for being crowned champions at the Palatine High School Tournament this past weekend! The girls defeated three of the top 20 teams in the State of Illinois to claim the crown! The girls were led by captains Elizabeth Minnich and Leah Wood, as well as Jillian Schultz who scored seven goals! Brittany Lira and Gretchen Berhens both made key goals in the championship game as well. The goalies Adrianna Muniz and Kaitlyn Nowicki both did a phenomenal job in all of the games! The district team, called the Red Jaguars, is now 14 – 11 and is ranked 17th in the State of Illinois. The Red Jaguars are working hard preparing for the upcoming sectional tournament that will take place May 13-16 at Lincoln Way North High School.
