D228 Students Earn Industry Credentials During 1st Semester

MIDLOTHIAN, IL - Bremen High School District 228 recognizes 286 students who earned industry credentials during the first semester.

The district is proud of the students that took the challenge to jump-start their future careers and show employers they are well-trained and job ready.

Earning industry credentials is a way for students to prove to future employers that they have the necessary skills to be career ready. District 228 offers students the opportunity to gain certifications in a variety of career pathways.

"District 228 is proud of its students who continue to make efforts to jump-start their careers, and continue to showcase their leadership," said Yasmeen Sheikah, D228 Spokeswoman. "We are excited to see our students flourish in their careers."

Throughout the school year students study and train for the following certifications: Adobe Photoshop, Food Handler Certification, American Red Cross Lifeguard, Adobe Illustrator, ServSafe Certification, Early Childhood Education, Microsoft Office Certifications, OSHA 10 Hour General Industry, Welding SMAW/GMAW, CPR and S/P2 Auto Certificates.

Bremen High School District 228 is located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and serves the communities of Midlothian, Posen, Tinley Park, Markham, Hazel Crest, Country Club Hills and Oak Forest. Since then, District 228 opened three additional schools.
