
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that overnight lane closures will be required, weather permitting, on the Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 90/94) at 63rd Street on Monday, Nov. 23, and Tuesday, Nov. 24. The closures are necessary to reconfigure the work zone as part of the 63rd Street bridge reconstruction.
A full closure of the Dan Ryan’s express lanes in both directions will take place, weather permitting, early Tuesday.
Starting at 8 p.m. Monday, the left lane of the northbound express lanes will be closed, with a second lane closing at 11 p.m. In the southbound express lanes, the left lane will be closed at 9 p.m. Monday, with a second lane closing at 11 p.m. All of the northbound express lanes will be closed between midnight and 5 a.m. Tuesday. All of the southbound express lanes will be closed between 1 and 5 a.m. Tuesday.

All lane closures will be reopened by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, the right lane of the northbound local lanes will be closed, with a second lane closing at 10 p.m. The 71st Street entrance ramp also will be closed at 10 p.m. All lanes and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Please obey the posted speed limits and be alert for workers.
