District 228 Board of Education Recognizes the Glorious Splendor Women's Ministry of the New Faith Baptist Church

These special ladies have been providing a 'prom boutique' to Hillcrest High School for six years

At its meeting on Tuesday, March 21, the District 228 Board of Education recognized the Glorious Splendor Women's Ministry of the New Faith Baptist Church. These special ladies have been providing a 'prom boutique' to Hillcrest High School for six years.

Young ladies that attend the boutique receive a continental breakfast, a brief session on make up application, and fashion hints. The best part of all is they receive a free pair of shoes to match their prom dress and a prom survival bag that includes items such as flip flops, Kleenex, mints, etc. Before the event ends, the students participate in a mini-fashion show.

The mission of the Women's Ministry is to care for others, and we are thankful for their dedication to our students at Hillcrest High School. Board Vice-President Kristine Resler presented the group with a plaque and thanked them for their support.
