District 228 Students Earn State Seal of Biliteracy

District 228 has announced the names of 43 students who have earned the Illinois State Seal and the Illinois State Commendation of Biliteracy, with an additional three who received the Seal in two languages in addition to English. Compared to last year, there are twice as many students who earned the Seal of Commendation. This is the second year Bremen High School District 228 has offered these awards, and is one of few districts in the state to do so. The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy and the Commendation of Biliteracy are recognized at the state level and are reflected on students' high school transcripts and diplomas, and can potentially earn them two years of college credit for language at an Illinois state college or university.Please join us in congratulating these students on their achievement!
