Dylan Gluszek Named Bremen HS Student of the Week

Bremen High School Principal Dr. Dave Kibelkis is excited to announce freshmen Dylan Gluszek is the newest B-Great Campaign Student of the Week! B-Great promotes and acknowledges character education and leadership with the students of Bremen High School. Each week a student is selected for this honor as a result of them demonstrating outstanding character. The selected student is given a B-Great word of the week and they define it based on what it means to them. Not only is Gluszek a stellar student in the classroom, but he has also found several clubs and organizations to become a part of during his first few months as a Brave! “Although Dylan is a great role model for his peers inside of school, it was actually his work outside of school that made him stand out for this award,” said Assistant Principal Mrs. Jessica Rucinski. “I ran across a social media post that mentioned that Dylan was collecting food for a local food pantry in a very unique way.” “This Christmas season I am focused on being generous by collecting food in a cool way. I am displaying a Christmas light show at my house in which I have provided a box for food donations on our front lawn. Community members can pull up and enjoy the Christmas lights synced to music. I’m hoping while they’re at it they will “B-Generous” and donate food for the needy. All of the food I collect will be donated to nearby food pantries,” said Gluszek. Because of his outreach in hopes of getting others involved in his campaign, Dylan was chosen for the B-Great word of the week - “generous”. Dylan is definitely a generous young man! We look forward to his next three years at Bremen and the impact he makes not only at BHS but the community as well!
