Electronics Recycling Begins In Oak Forest

Oak Forest residents can easily recycle electronics thanks to city's extended agreement with Homewood Disposal.

OAK FOREST, IL -- Oak Forest residents are now able to recycle their old electronics by simply scheduling a pickup online or by phone. An extended refuse service contract between the city and Homewood Disposal brings to service to Oak Forest immediately, according to a news release from the city.

Residents can schedule a pickup online here or by calling 708-798-1004. Once the pickup is confirmed, residents will need to place their electronics on the curb on their regular pickup day. Electronics left on the curb without scheduling ahead of time will not be picked up. Each address has a limit of two televisions or computer monitors per year.

The extended Homewood Disposal goes through 2023, with costs increasing by a small percentage every year.
