For almost 18 years, Covenant Enabling Residences of Illinois has been serving people with developmental disabilities in Oak Forest, Illinois. Providing a safe, loving home where our clients can live their lives to the fullest has always been the number one priority of our non-profit organization.
In 2010, a group of family, friends and volunteers from Dakota Inn in Alsip, Illinois, helped us to create our now annual “Ride for Residents” motorcycle run. It quickly became our most successful fundraiser to date, generating over $20,000 in its first year. Proceeds from this event go directly towards resident needs, from necessities such as food, clothing and medication to extras like our yearly trip to Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We hope to continue to grow and expand on this event in the years to come, and we need your help!
We are excited to have set our date for the 3rd Annual “Ride for Residents” motorcycle bike/car run for May 6, 2012. In the past, we have used donations collected from this event to purchase larger items such as a new mini bus ($55,000), all new dressers ($11,000) and carpet and paint for the resident’s rooms ($9,000). We are asking for your continued support this year in one of two ways:
