South Suburban College's Music Department and the Joliet Area Theatre Organ Enthusiasts present a theatre organ concert, featuring Jelani Eddington at the keyboard. Performances will take place on October 19, 2011 at 12 Noon and 7:30pm.
Return to those thrilling days of yesteryear as Jelani Eddington, 2001 Theatre Organist of the Year, presents a lecture and accompanies a silent film. The Noon show will feature a lecture about theatre organ performance as well as a practical demonstration of the instrument. During the evening performance, Jelani will accompany a silent film. Cameras will be set up overhead so audience members will be able to see not only the film, but Jelani’s considerable skill at the keyboard.
