Oak Forest Park District Flag Football & Cheer PINK CAMPAIGN

This season the NFL will again be supporting the fight against breast cancer, and will officially recognize October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The NFL will feature players, coaches, and referees wearing pink game apparel to raise awareness in early detection of breast cancer.  On October 2, 2011, the Chicago Bears will do their part and wear pink attire as they host the Carolina Panthers. It is the goal of the Oak Forest Park District Flag Football and Cheerleading League to have our fans throughout Oak Forest show their support for the cause.

All fans are encouraged to wear pink on the sidelines while cheering on our OFPDFF flag football teams and cheer squads.  Players may choose to wear pink wristbands in support, while cheerleaders may wear pink accessories such as pink socks, hair ribbons, etc.  Coaching staffs and referees are also encouraged to wear pink attire!

During half time of all the games on October 16th, OFPDFF volunteers will walk up and down the sidelines accepting donations.  Any donation made will receive a pink ribbon in appreciation.  All donations will be forwarded to The Cancer Support Center, a local charity, on behalf of OFPDFF.
