Faculty Victorious Over Students in OFHS Basketball Game

Friendly rivalry and a variety of challenges made for a fun game

Oak Forest High School held its annual Faculty-Student Basketball game last Friday. The friendly rivalry started with a variety of challenges between the faculty and the students.

The first quarter consisted of a lay-up competition. The score was even for this quarter with the teachers barely squeaking out ahead at 36-35. The second quarter consisted of a three-point competition and this is where the faculty pulled away from the students. The teachers won 87-59.

In the third quarter, the female faculty members faced the female students. The students put up a fight but in the end, their teachers advanced the score to 110-59.

In the fourth quarter, the male faculty members faced the male students. The game moved fast back and forth over the court and the boys gained some headway. In the end, the faculty men prevailed with a win of 120 to 81.

Oak Forest High School Athletic Director Ron Towner said, “The students tried hard and I commend their efforts.” Oak Forest Student Coach Connor Rago said, “Well, we came out flat but that happens sometimes. Mr. Towner can talk smack about the students but we will see him on the court next year.”
