Family Searches For Their Beloved Lost Dog

A family whose dog escaped from a home in Crestwood on Sunday is devastated and desperate to find him.

CRESTWOOD, IL β€” A family is distraught and searching for their dog, who escaped while they were visiting from out of town over the weekend.

Tessa Durso said her black mask Belgian malinois Micco got loose around 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, and the family is heartbroken that they have not yet found him. They were visiting family in Crestwood when the dog bolted near 135th and Central.

"We are trying not to lose hope, but time is passing," Durso wrote on social media.

Micco is microchipped and tagged, and is wearing a tan collar. He is often mistaken as a German shepherd, Durso said. The family has had no word on his whereabouts since Monday at 7 a.m.

"We are devastated but remaining positive our boy is safely found and reunited," Durso wrote.
