Felon Jailed After Posting Gun Videos on Facebook: Cops
Chicago police following parolee's Facebook page saw videos he posted of himself shooting guns at Oak Forest gun range, prosecutor said.

OAK FOREST, IL -- A Chicago man on parole was arrested after he posted videos of himself on Facebook shooting a gun, prosecutors said. Aaron Steward, 26, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on two felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Steward is currently on parole for the same offense.
The prosecutor said a Chicago police intelligence officer found videos of Steward on his Facebook page firing a handgun at the Eagle Gun Range in Oak Forest on April 26 and May 3. Steward allegedly acknowledged to police that he had been to the gun range on those dates. Convicted felons are not allowed to possess guns, even if they're shooting at a firing range.
Steward is currently on parole from Illinois Department of Corrections where he had been serving concurrent three- and one-year sentences for possession of a firearm by a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. The prosecutor told the judge there is a parole hold for Steward.

“What’s remarkable is that he violated probation and was in the penitentiary for the same offense,” Felice said.
Bail was set at $100,000 for each charge. Steward is due back in court July 12 in Bridgeview.
