Freight Train Derails Early Friday In Harvey: Report
The CSX freight train derailed just before 4 a.m. Friday, blocking several crossings.
HARVEY, IL — A freight train derailed in Harvey in the early morning hours Friday, blocking several crossings, Fox 32 Chicago reports.
The CSX train derailed 17 cars, with no injuries or hazardous spills reported, according to Fox 32 Chicago.
The derailment happened near 140th and Spaulding at about 3:45 a.m., according to the report. The incident reportedly blocked railroad crossings at Robey Avenue, Lincoln Avenue and Western Avenue.
