I am a firm believer in giving back, call it karma, paying it forward, doing good deeds, whatever you like. I think it is important to help out whenever we can.
This is one of the ideologies I have implemented for our cosmetology school—the John Amico School of Hair Design. Our school has been able to keep our tuition as low as possible. The John Amico professional product company helps with the tuition plus we own our own campus which helps keep tuition fees affordable. A John Amico career in the beauty industry is the most affordable with a reasonable time frame of completion (10 to 18 months ). The earning potential is truly unlimited.
Last year, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projected 15.7 percent employment growth for Cosmetologists/hairdressers between 2010 and 2020. It is simply a great career to invest in.Hairstylists’ jobs remain secure for a number of reasons. First and foremost, clients are loyal. They feel comfortable going to the same person year after year. This is a job that simply cannot be outsourced. You can not work with a stylist online and you can not ship the work of a stylist out of the country. Appearance is a source of personal and professional pride.
