Happy Day for Chick-fil-A Zealots

Chick-fil-A addicts came from all over the Midwest to be the first 100 in line to receive a year's supply of Chick-fil-A meals at the new Chick-fil-A restaurant opening Thursday morning in Chicago Ridge at 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue.

The tradition of camping out the day before a Chick-fil-A grand opening began in 2003, when hundreds stood overnight waiting for the chain's first standalone restaurant in Arizona to open, hence the beginning of the "First 100" event.

Chick-fil-A expected to give away $30,000 in free food on Thursday. The lucky 100 ranged from first-timers to Chick-fil-A zealots. Oak Lawn Patch

Woman ‘Still Loved’ Man Accused of Strangling Her

An argument between Mary Ann Urban-Danno, 51, and her husband, Robert Danno, led to a chain of events that ended in the murder of Mary Ann and her 79-year-old mother, said Cook County Sheriff’s Police Detective Eric Burnson.
