Think back to your high school days. Do you remember if you were a fan of your school’s mascot?

Certainly, political correctness has spurred change among school mascots nationwide, especially those with Native American references. Some schools, like Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, eventually dropped the musket – and its Revolutionary War outfit – from its patriot mascot for obvious reasons.

But no worries, we still found plenty of very odd Illinois high schools mascots; some of which are seemingly unaffected by the wave of PC that has triggered many mascot makeovers.
