Hillcrest HS Baking Class Participates in Cupcake Wars

Students made a banana pudding cupcake with cream cheese frosting

Students from Hillcrest High School’s Baking Basics class participated in a district wide baking competition at Tinley Park High School. This year’s cupcake theme was “Earth Day.” The students made a homemade banana pudding cupcake with a delicious cream cheese frosting. They prepared for the competition after school by coming up with creative designs and ideas then working as a team to have the best work.

"The students enjoyed working with the other schools in the district and it was great to see their enthusiasm and their positive energy throughout the competition. They had great ideas and suggestions throughout the preparation for the competition," stated Ms. Botica, Hillcrest High School Family and Consumer Science teacher.
