Jolly Jamboree Set To Kick Off Holiday Season In Oak Forest

Oak Forest residents are invited to enjoy the city's holiday activities, Saturday, Dec. 3.

OAK FOREST, IL — Oak Forest will welcome the holiday season with a very jolly gathering set for Saturday, Dec. 3.

The city's Jolly Jamboree will take place at City Hall, 15440 S. Central Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon.

Santa will be there, parked inside the building and ready to hear wish lists. Visits with Santa will be captured by Blink of an Eye Photography, the City said. Guests will have two packages to choose from (cash or check), with photos printed on-site. Caricatures will also be created on-site by artist Mark Odewald.

Next door at Oak Forest Fire Station 1, 5620 James Dr., DJ Loren will play holiday music as visitors decorate cookies and visit with beloved Frozen princesses. Facepainting will also be offered.

Outside near the gazebo, watch as an artist carves two ice sculptures. Trim-a-tree contest winners will also be announced during the festivities.
