Group therapy topics may include interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, anger management, men’s and women’s issues, nutrition, or well-being. The center utilizes evidence-based practices to create a therapeutic learning environment. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the individuals’ treatment plans are being followed, engaging individuals in physical activity, encouraging individuals to engage in positive interactions, assuring documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner, participating in team meetings and trainings and supporting the program coordinator in the day-to-day activities. Must be able to complete the following physical abilities such as balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, pushing wheelchairs and lifting up to 40 pounds. Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor or Masters in the field of social work, counseling or other human service related fields. This position works Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The starting salary for a bachelor level candidate is $24,000 annually; starting salary for masters level candidate is $30,000 annually. Benefits of working full-time include: 10 vacation days (after a year), 11 paid holidays/year, four sick days/year, two personal days/year, eligibility for health/dental insurance, and bonuses.
