Trinity Services has a job opportunity for a Day Treatment Counselor. Trinity Services is a large non-profit agency that provides services to adult and children with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illnesses. Trinity is predominately located throughout Will county but also provides services in DesPlaines, DuPage county, Peoria, Mascoutah and Reno (NV). Services provided include community integrating living environments, day programs, supportive employment and behavioral health counseling. Primary responsibilities involve designing and implementing group and individual counseling to adults with developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses. Group therapy topics may include interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, anger management, men’s and women’s issues, nutrition, or well-being. The center utilizes evidence-based practices to create a therapeutic learning environment. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the individuals’ treatment plans are being followed, engaging individuals in physical activity, encouraging individuals to engage in positive interactions, assuring documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner, participating in team meetings and trainings and supporting the program coordinator in the day-to-day activities. Must be able to complete the following physical abilities such as balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, pushing wheelchairs and lifting up to 40 pounds. Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor or Masters in the field of social work, counseling or other human service related fields. This position works Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The starting salary for a bachelor level candidate is $24,000 annually; starting salary for masters level candidate is $30,000 annually. Benefits of working full-time include: 10 vacation days (after a year), 11 paid holidays/year, four sick days/year, two personal days/year, eligibility for health/dental insurance, and bonuses.

Trinity Services in New Lenox is searching for a Speech Language Pathologist, three days per week, 8 a.m. 2:30 p.m. (total of 18 hours per week). The speech therapist will work as part of a Special Education team catering to students with disabilities. It involves providing one-on-one therapeutic services, writing and implementing IEP goals, training the classroom staff and attending meetings to discuss student progress. Responsibilities include evaluations, writing individual goals and objectives, consulting, reviewing and updating communication programs and attending staff meetings. It also involves programming various AAC devices. Minimum qualifications include a license to practice in the state of Illinois. Prior experience in school based setting. Preferred qualifications include experience with PECS and various AAC devices, specifically iPads and communication apps.
