Longtime Oak Forest Employee John Stanly Dies
Stanly was a mechanic and superintendent in the Public Works Department and a lieutenant with the Fire Department.
OAK FOREST, IL - John Stanly, a longtime employee in the Oak Forest Public Works Department, has died.
Stanly was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Oak Forest for years and rose to the rank of lieutenant, according to a Chicago Tribune obituary.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time," the city wrote in a Facebook post announcing his death on Wednesday.
