'Mad Dash' Will Benefit OFHS Cross Country Teams

A three-mile race through the streets of Oak Forest will end on the new Oak Forest High School football field.

OAK FOREST, IL -- A three-mile race through the streets of Oak Forest on a Saturday in the heart of fall will benefit the cross country teams at Oak Forest High School and finish on the school's new football field. The inaugural Colonel Madden Cross-Town Mad Dash will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7. The race starts at 11 a.m. at OFHS.

The event is open to runners and walkers. Those who register before Sept. 23 will be guaranteed race t-shirts. Registration also includes the chance to win prizes, including VIP Passes to award winning haunted houses, according to an event flyer on Race Roster.

Awards will be given for the overall male and female winners as well as age group winners.

Parking will be free at the high school. There will be concessions before, during and after the race.
