The Nation's First Community to Adopt a Rain Ready Plan is Having an Open House at the Midlothian Library on Sat, April 16th from 1 to 3pm

Midlothian and it's RainReady Plan is hosting an Open House to connect with residents and answer your questions!
When: Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Where: Midlothian Public Library (14701 Kenton)
The Village of Midlothian, is the nation’s first community to adopt a RainReady Plan to help manage residential flooding in it's community. The Open House will provide an open forum for residents to ask questions and receive information on the adoption of the RainReady Plan passed by the Village of Midlothian Board and it's impact to the residents and businesses of the village.

The Open House will have giveaways and raffles by our partners Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT) and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD). Members of Midlothian's Beautification Committee will also be available to answer your questions about rain gardens and rain barrel installation.
The first 10 households attending our Open House will receive a 6-pack of sandless sandbags (valued at $40) and a giveaway of 18” Oak tree saplings to residents of Midlothian will also be available while supplies last. Application Forms to apply for MWRD’s free rain barrel program to residents of Midlothian will also be available.
Plan on attending this free event to connect with your neighbors and find out more about the RainReady plan and bring your questions to our representatives from MWRD, CNT, Public Works, Beautification Committee and your Village Board.
