OAK FOREST, IL β€” Anyone needing to renew a driver's license or get a new one can find the process a bit easier and closer to home, with a mobile DMV unit coming soon to Oak Forest's City Hall.

The mobile unit "is designed to bring DMV services to communities that may be farther away from brick-and-mortar" locations, according to Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, people can visit the unit at Oak Forest City Hall, 15440 S. Central Ave. There they'll be able to complete all the necessary paperwork, take a driver's test, and get a license on the spot.
