Mr. Geoff Stellfox Receives District 228 Board Recognition Award
Mr. Stellfox quickly became an intergral part of the Tinley Park HS family
At its regularly scheduled meeting on January 16, the District 228 Board of Education honored Mr. Geoff Stellfox with the District 228 Recognition Award. In a very short time, Mr. Stellfox has quickly become an integral part of the Titan family at Tinley Park High School.
In the fall, Geoff was assigned by 22nd Century Media to photograph the school's football games. Not only did he take amazing pictures, but he also formed a bond with the football team and the entire school community. He went above and beyond on behalf of the students at TPHS.
Realistically, students and staff would never even interact with the local news photographer. That was not the case here. Geoff Stellfox became part of the program. He shared thousands of pictures with the coaches and players so they would have lasting memories of their time on the field. Geoff was their photographer, fan and teammate. He communicated with the Titan Family in person and via Twitter, where he shared his spirit for the Titan Family and described how this connection was formed.
