Oak Fest Guide: Popular Oak Forest Festival Marks 30th Anniversary
Fireworks, music, games and a car show will highlight the 6-day festival celebrating its 30th summer in Oak Forest.

OAK FOREST, IL -- Oak Fest, the annual summer tradition in Oak Forest, will celebrate its 30th anniversary during the festival planned at 159th and Central from June 29 through July 4 this year. There will be free admission to the six-day festival that will include live music, a car show, carnival, bean bag tournament and a variety of crafters.
"Along with operating a full 6 days, we will have the best fireworks show yet, a bigger bingo tent, 2 full beer stations offering 22 different beverages with daily early-bird specials, a more spacious Vendor and Crafter Showcase area, and an open midway to watch the entertainment from every vantage point, 17 bands in all," said Fest Chairman Joe Koce.

"The carnival will offer single day wristbands every day as well as the MEGA-pass good for the entire festival," Koce said. "On the main stage on opening night is the Salute to Hometown Heroes including a fireworks show, the 14th Annual Car Show, Bean Bag Tournament, watermelon eating contest, and we’ll have Oak Fest T-Shirts for sale."

Tuesday, July 4: 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Drink specials are also offered during certain evening hours.
