Oak Forest 'Church Ladies' Ready To Serve Up Pierogi For Easter Dinner

OAK FOREST, IL — Anyone looking for a special treat for their Easter dinner table, some local, self-proclaimed "Church Ladies" have you covered.

The “Church Ladies Test Kitchen” at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (15050 Central Ave., Oak Forest) is busy again gearing up for the 2026 Spring/Easter pierogi sale, and will have the pierogi ready in time for your Easter dinner. All the familiar flavors are back by popular demand.

Crafted with care by the talented ladies of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, the beloved pierogi sell out fast every year. The ladies will serve up a variety of flavors, all for $8 per 1/2 dozen. There will not be a pre-order option—it's first come, first served. Payment by cash, check, or Zelle only. The sale is sponsored by the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection to support the community's ministries.

Sale dates are set for March 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and March 29, 12 to 2 p.m. A bake sale also returns.
