The following information was submitted by the Oak Forest Pom Dance Team:

The Oak Forest Pom Dance Team will be hosting tryout clinics on May 17th and May 18th from 5:00pm - 7:30pm at OFHS. The coaching staff is thrilled to start another season, and we want incoming freshmen to know that it's not too late to become a Bengal Dancer if they are interested! We compete competitively through the IHSA and have been placed as a top ten finalist for the past 3 years (2015; 7th, 2016; 6th, 2017; 7th)! Our Varsity Team is 4-time SSC Conference Champions and JV is 5-time consecutive SSC Conference Champions. In 2016 Varsity also took the title of Sectional Champs. Our season is from June until early February and consists of performances at home football and basketball games along with competitions. We hope our program can continue to grow so we can represent Oak Forest High School and cheer on our Bengals! More details about pre-tryout forms/physicals will be posted soon. So "like" us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram and Twitter @oakforestdance for all the info you need before tryouts, throughout the season, and to stay updated on our team's events! The JV team is a great place for beginner dancers. We welcome dancers with little to no experience to come to our tryout because we love to teach our dancers the skills necessary to succeed and we want students to be involved in something they love! If dance is a sport that interests a student we don't want them to shy away because of nerves. High school is a a time to try new things, and we want everyone to see how amazing being part of a dance team is! It's an experience unlike any other! Our program is all about growth, teamwork, and striving for excellence. We LOVE using our JV team (usually beginner dancers) to grow our program."
