Oak Forest Girl Who Beat Leukemia Named Chick Evans Scholar
Marist senior who beat leukemia will receive a prestigious Chick Evans caddie scholarship including full college tuition and housing.

CHICAGO, IL -- An Oak Forest girl who beat acute lymphoblastic leukemia has received a prestigious Chick Evans Scholarship. Mackenzie Lim is a senior at Marist High School. As an Evans Scholar, Lim will receive full tuition and college housing from the Evans Scholars Foundation renewable for up to four years at one of their partner universities.
Lim has caddied at Midlothian Country Club for the past three years. She will attend Northwestern University this fall majoring in neuroscience. While at Marist she was a member of student council, art club, Spanish club, the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
Fellow Marist seniors Keagan Lenz and Michael Martino also received Chick Evans Scholarships. Lenz, of Oak Lawn, has been a caddy at Beverly Country Club for five years. He will attend Marquette University in the fall and plans to major in criminal justice. At Marist, he was a member of the lacrosse program and the Marist Youth service group.

Martino, of Tinley Park has been a caddy at Midlothian Country Club for five years. He will attend University of Kansas in the fall and major in business. During his time at Marist he was a four year member of the soccer program.
Scholarship recipients are golf caddies who are selected based on criteria that includes caddie performance, outstanding character, financial need and exemplary academic achievement.
