Oak Forest Hiring Full-Time Firefighters

OAK FOREST, IL — The Oak Forest Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time firefighter.

Starting salary is listed as $44,144. Applicants should be at 21 years old by Sept. 21, the deadline for submission. Those interested must have proof of high school diploma, GED certificate or high school proficiency statement.

Applicants must be certified or lLicensed by the State of Illinois as a Basic Operations Firefighter or Equivalent (Firefighter 2) by the Illinois State Fire Marshall’s Office at the time of hire and must be a certified paramedic at the time of hire. There is no residency requirement.
