Oak Forest HS Announces Homecoming King and Queen

Andrew O'Connell and Bryana Loeza were named 2017 Homecoming King and Queen

Oak Forest High School students held their collective breaths as Student Council Adviser Amy Bertrand crowned the new Homecoming King and Queen in the final five minutes of the exciting Homecoming Assembly held September 22.

Oak Forest High School teacher and Homecoming Assembly MC Eric Gomez announced, “Your 2017 Homecoming King is Andrew O’Connell!” Mrs. Bertrand crowned him and put the Homecoming King sash on O’Connell and the crowd readied themselves for the announcement of the Homecoming Queen.
Mr. Gomez said, “And the Homecoming Queen is Bryana Loeza!” Mrs. Bertrand crowned her and placed the Homecoming Queen sash on Loeza and they walked to the center of the gym to uproarious applause by the Oak Forest High School student body.

The Homecoming King and Queen were featured at the Homecoming Game Halftime show later that evening as well as the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night. The theme for Homecoming this year was “Be Our Guest.”

Taylor Ferralez, Queen Bryana Loeza, Junior Court member Jenna Baldino, Sophomore Court member Rhianna Sumrall, and Freshman Court member Angelique Flores.
