Oak Forest HS Announces Illinois State Scholars
Thirty-seven OFHS students named Illinois State Scholars
Oak Forest High School Assistant Principal for Student Services, Ms. Jane Dempsey, announced the names of 37 Oak Forest High School students who are being recognized by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) as being 2014-2015 Illinois State Scholars for their outstanding academic achievement.
Students selected are one of 20,000 students from 752 different schools across the State of Illinois. Students are selected by performing in the top one-half of their high school class at the end of the third semester prior to graduation, and/or scoring in the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT.
The following are the 2014-15 Oak Forest High School State Scholars: Vatsal Acharya, Madeline Baxa, Mark Burghard, Kevin Conway, Emma Cramer, Siobhan Gilligan, Kelsey Golk, Elizabeth Hendzel, Paige Hines, John Horan, Luke Howard, Rebecca Howe, Mousa Jodeh, Nicholas Kunnath, Heqi Li, Jasmine Lopez, Jason Lowczyk, Lea Marrs, Amelia McDowell, Madison Misheck, Joseph Muller, Kristen Olejnik, Amanda Petit, Connor Rago, Sally Salman, Elizabeth Samoska, Jessica Sandoval, Katherine Scheidt, Colin Sullivan, Sabrina Swidergal, Richard Szabo, Rachel Valente, Sara Valente, Jessica Veyette, Hannah Waller, Sarah Wazny, and Zachary Zdanavicius.
