Oak Forest HS Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Madison Miller, Shannon Clancy, Timothy Owens, and Kelsey Kolecki signed letters of intent play collegiate sports

Oak Forest High School Assistant Athletic Director Mike Brown and Athletic Director Ron Towner were on hand to support Seniors Madison Miller, Shannon Clancy, Timothy Owens, and Kelsey Kolecki as they signed letters of intent May 22 to play collegiate sports at universities throughout the Midwest. The seniors’ numerous coaches they worked with while at OFHS including Katy Dammer, Lee Rucinski, Caitlyn McMahon, Christine Diventi, Caitlin Diventi, Jennifer Bajer, Jeff Kelly, and Ashley Thompson were also there to lend their support and cheer their players on as well. Madison Miller signed with the cheer/dance team of Joliet Junior College. While at Oak Forest, she was a backspot with Coach Diventi. She will be working with Coach Karlberg at Joliet Junior College while she is studying for a degree in fire science and in EMT. In fact, she is starting 12 hour volunteer fire department ride-alongs this summer to get a jump start on her future career! Madison is the daughter of Sherri and Gary Miller of Oak Forest. Shannon Clancy signed with St. Ambrose University in Iowa. The sport that Shannon signed to work with is St. Ambrose’s dance team and their competition dance squad. She was the team captain for Oak Forest under Coach Jennifer Bajer and will be working with the St. Ambrose Dance Coach Danielle Langeneckert. Shannon will be studying for a Biology major in the pre-med track and hopefully learning the type of medicine in which she would like to specialize. Shannon is the daughter of Anne and Bob Clancy of Oak Forest. Timothy Owens, like Shannon, signed to play volleyball at St. Ambrose University in Iowa. While at Oak Forest, he played the position of outside hitter for Coach Lee Rucinski and looks forward to working with St. Ambrose coach Dawn Kerr. While at St. Ambrose University, Timothy will be studying for a marketing degree. Timothy is the son of Jane and William Owens of Oak Forest. Kelsey Kolecki signed to play softball for St. Xavier University. While at OFHS she played softball for Coach Katy Dammer. She played both middle infield and outfield. At St. Xavier, she will be working with Coach Erin Mollohan-Corrao on the softball team. She is going to study for a secondary education degree in English with an ELL emphasis. Kelsey is the daughter of Julie and Roy Kolecki of Oak Forest. Congratulations and good luck to these talented student athletes as you start your collegiate sports career!
